Death Notice, a film headlined by Louis Koo, was first announced in 2016 and started production in 2018.

Sometime in 2018 too, Koo said that he would be portraying four roles in the film – where he’d be wearing different makeup for each character.

“Every role will have different characteristics. I will have a disfigured face, I will be crippled. I will need four hours just to put on the makeup,” he said then as reported by Chinese press.

But in the trailer of the film, which is based on the Chinese novel by Zhou Haohui, we can only spot one character played by Koo – a homeless man whose one side of the face is disfigured.

Well, whether the film really features three other characters played by Koo will be known on Aug 18 when the film finally opens at cinemas nationwide.

Death Notice was originally set for release on Dec 10, 2021 before postponed to March 2022. It was postponed again to August this year.

The action mystery thriller directed by Herman Yau also stars Julian Cheung, Francis Ng, Myolie Wu and Chrissie Chau.

The story centres on a serial killer who leaves death notices informing them when and how he will murder his next targets.

Even with all the information given and precautions taken, the person still ends up dying at the hands of the killer.
