Taiwan-based Malaysian singer Gary Chaw recently came to Sabah to support his 14-year-old son, Joe, at his basketball game, Guang Ming Daily reported.

On July 15, Chaw took a flight from Taiwan to Kota Kinabalu and met up with his father at the Luyang Community Hall, where Joe’s basketball tournament was scheduled to take place.

Dressed casually in a white tee, blue shorts and black cap, the 44-year-old was all smiles as he cheered for his son – who scored three points for his team.

The Mandopop star also greeted fans and obliged to requests for photographs.

In an interview with Sin Chew Daily, Chaw said that he would be staying in Sabah for a week to support his son’s upcoming game.

“After Joe is done with his competition, we will go to (Genting Highlands) to prepare for my concert,” the Sabah-born singer added.

According to reports, Joe is the representative of his school’s basketball and football team.

Earlier in May, he was named Athlete Of The Year at his school in Taiwan.

Chaw will be bringing his Crazy For Live concert to the Arena Of Stars, Resorts World Genting on Saturday (July 22).

He was spotted with Joe and his 12-year-old daughter Grace at Mid Valley Megamall last month.
