Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh made her first public appearance in Hong Kong yesterday at the Cartier & Women exhibition held at the Hong Kong Palace Museum.

She shared four photos of herself at the private event with the caption: "So happy to visit Hong Kong Palace Museum today, what a beautiful exhibition. Thank you Cyrille @cartier for the invitation and amazing tour by Pierre!"

But it's the last photo on her social media that fans are raving about.

In the photo, the Oscar winner is seen with legendary actress Brigitte Lin Ching Hsia, Hong Kong star Carina Lau (whose husband Tony Leung starred opposite Yeoh in Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings) and billionaire Pansy Ho Chiu King (daughter of the late Stanley Ho).

Yeoh is currently in Hong Kong, the place where she started her acting career some 40 years ago. She's there for some work commitments, including appearing as a presenter at this Sunday's (April 16) Hong Kong Film Awards, according to entertainment portal HK01.

Women and jewellery

The Cartier & Women exhibition – which opens April 14 and will run for four months – shows the bond between women and jewellery and how Chinese arts and culture have inspired the Cartier's creations, the museum said.

According to Hong Kong's The Standard, there will be 300 pieces of timepieces and accessories created by the French brand from the 19th century to the present day on display, including tiaras worn by celebs.

"Highlights include pieces from the collections of important and well-known women, including the Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly; renowned actresses Elizabeth Taylor, Brigitte Lin and Carina Lau; and businesswoman Pansy Ho," The Standard quoted the museum.

Yeoh was back in Malaysia for a brief visit several days ago. The 60-year-old was in Ipoh for Qing Ming, also known as Tomb Sweeping Day, where she visited her father Datuk Yeoh Kian Teik's gravesite. She also kept her promise by bringing back her Best Actress Oscar to her mother, Datin Janet Yeoh.

The actress will be back in Malaysia again next week. The Everything Everywhere All At Once star is scheduled to appear at the "Pride of Malaysia Michelle Yeoh Homecoming Public Fan Meet" on April 18 at 4pm at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
