After failing to convince his wife Diana Danielle from pursuing her divorce application with a bouquet of flowers and a ring, actor Farid Kamil came forth with a new presents for her.

As reported by mStar – The Star's Malay-language portal – he said he's willing to gift Diana RM319,700 in his effort to save their marriage.

The 41-year-old actor-director apparently offered to present his wife with a car worth RM225,000 and spousal support for the months from March to June this year for the amount of RM40,000.

Not only that, Farid also wants to give Diana jewellery worth RM10,700, reported mStar.

To top it off, he said he's paying back the cost incurred for his recent Umrah pilgrimage amounting to RM44,000, which he claimed was supposed to be a gift but suddenly became a debt.

“In this blessed month of Ramadan, I – Farid Kamil – with a sincere heart, would like to offer my wife Diana Danielle Danny Beeson all these things in my effort to save my family, which I greatly love,” he told the media on Tuesday (April 11).

He said this when met at the Syariah High Court in Shah Alam for the sulh (peace settlement) process, that would allow the two parties to find a resolution.

Diana, 31, however was absent for the proceeding and was represented by her lawyer, Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kadir.

Farid said that he hoped that his offer would soften Diana's intent to get a divorce.

“I really hope the offer which comes to the total of RM319,700 would touch my wife's heart, for the sake of our children's future,” he said.

Farid and Diana got married on Nov 3, 2012 and have two children together – a 10-year-old son and an eight-year-old daughter.

Diana filed the divorce application under Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law (State Of Selangor) Enactment 2003 on March 10.

On March 20, Farid – who is hoping for a reconciliation – refused to agree to Diana's divorce application.

Both parties must now go through the Conciliation Committee; the court has set May 30 to hear the committee’s report.
