Hong Kong actor Arnold Kwok is known to be dedicated to his craft.
One time, to play the role of a grandmother, he had no qualms putting on female clothes.
But he draws the line when there's a kissing scene.
While shooting the short film When A Man Goes A Long Distance, Kwok was asked to kiss his co-star Trixie Yu on the lips. But when the time came, the actor went off-script and chose to kiss Yu on the forehead instead.
When asked of his decision, the 30-year-old told Hong Kong media: "The only thing I was worried about was the kissing scene.
"I didn’t think it was fitting, so I changed it to a forehead kiss. I have to respect my ‘boss,’ who is my girlfriend."
Kwok's girlfriend is actress Amber Tang, who was present during the filming of the kissing scene.
Last year, it was reported that Tang, 26, chose not to pursue a role in the TVB drama Doppelganger as it involved a steamy kissing scene with actor Telford Wong and, apparently, Kwok was against it.
Tang was replaced with actress Yuki Law on the 25-episode drama.
When asked for comment on Tang's presence on the set of his short film, Kwok said: “I wouldn’t say she was there to supervise. She has always been supportive of my filming projects. She just wanted to come and watch.
"You guys don’t have to worry. I had a great time filming. It is just a matter of mutual respect (with my girlfriend).”
