Malaysian singer Aina Abdul is stunned when she found out that her latest single, Fool, has received airplay in Japan.
"I have no idea how my song got to the playlist or who requested for it but it is such a honour for me," she told mStar, The Star's Malay-language portal.
In November last year, Aina's cover of Adele's Easy On Me was reposted by the British singer's team on her official social media account.
Aina has just released the music video to accompany the English single, Fool. While it has gotten many positive feedback, there have been some nasty comments directed at Aina's outfits in the video.
The 29-year-old singer chooses to ignore these trolls.
"I couldn't care less with these criticisms. Sure, I do read the comments but I don't dwell on it too much," Aina said, adding that she and her team spent a lot of time on the outfits for the video.
Aina is currently busy preparing for the upcoming Anugerah Juara Lagu 36 where she will be competing with two songs, Sepi and Nafas Cinta, a duet with Khai Bahar.
"My priority now is my health as the daily Covid-19 cases are high. I am trying not to go out too much to avoid getting infected," Aina said before continuing that she's looking forward to performing at AJL 36 on March 6.
