The members of BTS continue to win fans over with their likable personalities.
This time around, J-Hope from the seven-piece band shows his philanthropic side by donating 100 million won (RM350,000) to aid underprivileged children in South Korea. This was revealed by Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation on Dec 31, 2021.
"I was concerned for children who would be spending a cold and lonely holiday season due to economic hardships from the Covid-19 pandemic," the 27-year-old singer said in a statement.
The money will be channelled to child care facilities and low-income families with children for medical as well as heating expenses.
J-Hope has donated 800 million won (RM2.8mil) to aid children in Korea as well as global charities since 2018.
All seven members of BTS are currently on vacation before resuming their showbiz duties in March. However, three members – Jin, Suga and RM – have contracted Covid-19 and are currently undergoing self-treatment at home.
