Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon announced on Tuesday (Nov 23) they are getting married and that they will be parents soon.

The two shared the good news on their respective fan forum sites.

Park and Choi – who have been in a relationship since 2017 – will be holding a private wedding ceremony on Jan 22, 2022 in Seoul, reported Korean media.

As translated by a portal, the 31-year-old Park wrote: “I am getting married to the person I have been in a relationship with for a long time.

“He has been a source of support, embracing all of my shortcomings, and I would like to begin a life as a married couple with him.

“And though I am cautious to say this as it is still very early, I have been blessed with a baby.”

Park ended her letter by wishing her fans to remain healthy and to wait for her return as an actress.

Meanwhile Choi, 30, stated this in his letter: “I’ve maintained a meaningful relationship with someone for a long time. She is like a saviour to me who taught me to smile brightly when I’m happy and to cry out loud when I’m sad.

“Now, we would like to take our marriage vows and to let this love, that I'm grateful for, bear fruit.”
