Malaysian singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza on Sunday (July 4) set in motion Bantuan Prihatin 2021 with the aim to help 1,500 poor families affected by the enhanced movement control order (MCO).
Siti said in a press statement that Bantuan Prihatin 2021 will be focusing on giving out essential needs to these families with children aged six and below in the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur areas.
“We will be working in stages to help the 1,500 struggling families during this enhanced MCO period.”
The 42-year-old singer – who founded Yayasan Nurjiwa and is the president of CTDK Holdings – encourages poor families with children aged six and below to apply for Bantuan Prihatin 2021 via this link which can done by either parent.
The hitmaker also welcomes individuals, organisations and NGOs that want to contribute to Bantuan Prihatin 2021.
A few local companies have joined in the efforts already including Ikhlas.com, Mommyhana Creative, Yayasan Rosni Noor and L&K Multivision.
