Although Datuk Yasmin Yusuff is extremely careful about adhering to SOP and getting enough vitamins, she nonetheless had to test for Covid-19 several times from when the first MCO ended until recently.
“I had seven tests already, OK!” she told StarLifestyle late last month.
Fortunately, she reported, they were all negative.
“We went away during Christmas and New Year, came back and somebody we were with was positive. So, we did the 14 days self-isolation.
“A couple of months later, my husband sat next to someone in the office, in a meeting, who was positive.
“We went through another round of self-isolation, ” mentioned Yasmin of the two times why she had to take the test.
“You know, people don't realise but you lose time in your life – two weeks at home. You can't even go shopping for food. Luckily, I was very well stocked up.
“But there's the stress of worrying whether your next test is going to be positive or negative, ” added Yasmin, who is known for her mellifluous voice and entertaining the nation with her radio show from the late 1980s to early 2000s.
On Saturday (May 22), Yasmin received her first jab of the vaccine. Her husband, Amarjit Chhina, and their maid also got the jab.
“Now, the whole household is done with first vaccination,” the former Miss Malaysia happily informed us recently.
“I was playing golf. So, it was my hubby who sat on the computer to get our appointments,” said the singer-actress, who's quite active on Instagram sharing positive and informative messages, as well as personal stories.
