Neelofa says she will cooperate fully with police on latest SOP breach allegation

Celebrity Neelofa gave her statement to the police at the Seremban district police headquarters today (May 24).

This is in regards to a report that went viral last week, claiming Neelofa didn’t wear a face mask underneath her niqab when she attended a hearing at a Magistrate’s Court in Seremban on May 20.

In a statement to mStar – The Star’s Malay portal – Neelofa said that she would cooperate fully with the police investigation regarding this case.

“Alhamdulillah, the process went well. I can’t really say much on this matter as the case is still under investigation, ” she told mStar.

“InsyaAllah if there are any new developments, the police or myself will release a statement. Thank you."

The 32-year-old TV host arrived at the station with husband, PU Riz and her lawyer at 10.15am today. She exited the station at 11.40am.

Seremban OCPD ACP Mohd Said Ibrahim said this in a statement: “We called Neelofa in today on May 24 to record her statement at 10.20am and it was completed at about 11.30am.

“She was very cooperative and adhered to all the Covid-19 SOP throughout the duration.”
