Malaysians will finally get to watch much-talked about Disney original series like The Mandalorian, WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier starting from June.
Disney+ Hotstar will be available in Malaysia on June 1.
It is priced at RM54.90 for three months, when subscribed directly from the app.
Alternatively, special packages are available with Astro, who is the official distributor.
According to a press statement, Astro’s Movies Pack customers can stream Disney+ Hotstar for an additional RM5 per month while non-Movies Pack customers can gain access via other promotions.
This news was announced during The Walt Disney Company Virtual Media Day today (May 4).
It was revealed that the app will be available for two concurrent streams, and the majority of content will be available for download on mobile and tablet.
One of the upcoming Marvel titles that Malaysians can watch at the same time as global audiences is Marvel Studios' Loki which will start streaming on June 11.
It was announced that the streaming service will have over 800 films and 18,000 episodes which includes not only Disney, Marvel and Pixar content but also local content.
Malaysian movie J2: J Retribusi, which has Zul Ariffin reprising his role from the 2017 hit film J Revolusi, will be premiering exclusively at Disney+ Hotstar in June.
Similarly, Zombitopia – starring Shaheizy Sam – will be debuting in July.
Ahmad Izham Omar, the director of content and creative of Disney South-East Asia said during the event: "There's a lot of Malaysian content to enjoy and so much to watch.
"And we are working with the best Malaysian creators and filmmakers to make original productions and bring the best of Malaysian content to the world," he added.
