American-Taiwanese television personality Janet Hsieh announced on Facebook on Tuesday (Feb 23) the arrival of her second baby boy.
According to various reports, she was sent to the hospital the night before after she began to feel gentle contractions.
Three hours later her baby boy was born, weighing 3,800 grams.
Compared with her 38-hour-long labour for the delivery of her first son Egan, Hsieh felt that it was much easier this time.
Hsieh and her husband, actor George Young have been married for six years.
Hsieh’s representative told NOWnews that Janet originally entered the bathtub to relieve the discomfort of labour pains, but she eventually gave up on her plans for a water birth.
The representative said that Janet went into labour without epidural.
The couple initially thought they were expecting a girl. They are still trying to think of names for the baby boy and have asked for suggestions. The China Post, Taiwan/Asia News Network
