Malaysian actress Shima Anuar has tested positive for Covid-19.
"This really breaks my heart, I'm not a close contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19," she shared in an Instagram post on Jan 11.
She recalled her symptoms: "I did a swab test because on Friday (Jan 8), I began experiencing breathing difficulties and had a headache.
"I told my husband about it and he said it could be because I haven't eaten anything yet. After eating, I felt OK. But I wanted to get tested anyway just as a precaution, as there have been so many cases."
Shima, who has starred in romance drama Sha & Shah and horror flick Hospital, later tested positive while her husband tested negative for Covid-19.
The post was accompanied by a photo of her Covid-19 test results.
The 29-year-old actress, who has a three-year-old daughter, added she is most concerned about her child now.
"I have quarantined myself in a separate room downstairs while waiting for the Ministry of Health to call."
She urged others who had contact with her to get screened. "I had a meeting last week. Whoever who was there, get yourself tested too OK?"
