Malaysian actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh is one of the cast members in the upcoming action film Gunpowder Milkshake which is headlined by Karen Gillan (Guardians Of The Galaxy) and co-stars Lena Headey, Angela Bassett and Carla Gugino.
Directed by Navot Papushado, Gunpowder Milkshake is said to take place on a single night, when a group of female assassins come together to fight to stop a cycle of violence.
It focuses on Gillan’s character Sam, whose mother – an assassin – abandons her, only to grow up as a ruthless hit-woman herself.
When one of her missions, involving an eight-year-old girl (Chloe Coleman), goes wrong, Sam has no choice but to reunite with her mother (Headey) and her lethal associates The Librarians (Yeoh, Bassett and Gugino) to set things right.
The movie, which filmed from June to August 2019, is scheduled to be out next year.
