Here’s your chance to sing a duet with your favourite local singer Radio station Suria has launched a digital programme, inviting fans to watch their favourite singers perform live on Facebook and YouTube.
Suria Duo X will see three pairs of singers - Syamel and Siti Sarah, Ara Johari and Azlan & The Typewriter, Aina Abdul and Ezad Lazim - sharing a stage for three weeks.
Syamel and Siti Sarah will kick off the first episode on Sept 11 at 9pm. The members of each pair will sing each other’s song. They will also team up to deliver duets of popular songs.
It gets even better. Fans can then record themselves covering a song the celebrities sung during their performances. Just upload your covers on Instagram and tag @suriamalaysia.
Not only are cash prizes amounting to RM10,000 up for grabs, winners get the chance to sing with their favourite singers on the Suria Duo X finale.
“Suria is known for organising its annual nationwide road tours to thanks fans but because of the pandemic, we feel this would be the best way to connect with our fans, ” said programme manager DJ Lin in a press statement.
“While we may not be able to see each other in person, I hope fans will support our digital programmes."
