Actor Zalif Sidek, 35, reportedly suffered from a serious asthma attack on Monday (June 8) night.

For the actor, asthma has been a chronic problem since age 12. According Zalif, he had to be hospitalised after suffering an attack in the middle of his UPSR exams. The second time he had to be admitted due to asthma was in 2014, when he was filming Kem Cuci Tangan.

The actor suspects that his latest asthma attack was due to his poor diet.

“Since the first day of Hari Raya, I have been guilty of not watching what I eat. I also took a lot of iced beverages, which might have made me more susceptible to the disease, ” the actor told mStar, The Star's Malay language portal.

The actor is also busy with moving to a new house and said that exposure to dust could have factored into the attack as he has been doing a lot of packing.

According to Zalif, this asthma attack is the worst he has suffered all year.

Throughout this unfortunate situation, Zalif laments the fact that he is still single.

“I only ask for one thing – that my fans pray for me to find a partner soon. When you are alone, everything is harder. I am sick at home by myself and there is no one to accompany me to the clinic, ” he said.
