SHINee's Taemin announces plans for a July comeback

SM Entertainment has confirmed that K-pop boyband member SHINee’s Taemin will be making his comeback as a solo artiste.

Taemin has not been active in the K-pop business since February 2019; his previous effort was the mini-album, WANT. However, the wait is over as the agency announced that Taemin is aiming to release a new song next month.

“Taemin is currently preparing to make a comeback in July. He is planning on a variety of promotions starting with the release of a new song, so please look forward to it, ” wrote SM Entertainment in a statement.

In February this year, Taemin teased the possibility of a solo comeback. While chatting with fans via SM Entertainment’s Lysn app, the singer alluded to several new projects he was working on.

Taemin said: “I'll be releasing a lot of albums this time. This will be the greatest number of albums I have ever put out in a year, and my music style has changed.”

Taemin has also been working on a vlog series titled TAEM Log 6v6, which premiered in May.
