Struggling artistes among those getting aid through Give With Ikhlas campaign

Ikhlas teams up with ST Rosyam Mart to provide help to those who need it.

Give With Ikhlas donation campaign, which is part of the AirAsia Group’s larger #InThisTogether campaign, has raised a total of RM780,000 just through online collection.

And since the start of Ramadan, the Ikhlas team has been distributing necessities and meals to over 3,700 families and 19,000 individuals at various locations in Malaysia.

On May 12, Ikhlas announced it is working with actor/businessman Datuk Rosyam Nor to provide basic necessities and meals to the less fortunate in the Setiawangsa area and three associations including Professional Film Workers' Association of Malaysia (Profima)and Pertubuhan Khairat Anak Seni Malaysia (Perkhas).

It has identified 1,000 families that would receive goods in the sum of RM50,000.

Ikhlas Kamarudin, head of the campaign, said in the press statement: “Our heart goes out to those in need, especially during these challenging times.

"We’ve been to around 50 locations to distribute aid and we realise that there are so many more that need our helping hand.

"In the spirit of #InThisTogether, we are happy to work with ST Rosyam Mart to further distribute basic necessities to more families, while supporting local businesses at the same time.”
