Actor Ashraf Muslim shared he had tested positive for Covid-19 on April 12.

The 38-year-old was part of a 26-episode Malaysian TV production, Demi, filming in Inverness, Scotland beginning on March 9, before the movement control order (MCO) by the Malaysian government took effect. He returned on March 31.

On April 4, one of the 18-member production crew tested positive for Covid-19. The series' director Rahila Ali, Ashraf's co-stars Puteri Aishah, child actress Puteri Rayyana Rayqa and her mother have since tested positive also.

Ashraf took to Instagram on April 15 to share the news: "I was very emotional when I first got the results but I have accepted it as a part of God's will."

The post was accompanied by a video, documenting himself being driven by an ambulance to the hospital.
