In a bind: Puteri Aishah, along with some production crew members tested positive for Covid-19
PETALING JAYA: A cameraman for the drama Demi is in the intensive care unit for Covid-19 treatment after he returned from Scotland on March 31.
Ambia Ahmad was part of an 18-member production crew of Demi in which several crew members, including actress Puteri Aishah and director Rahili Ali, were tested positive.
They were diagnosed with Covid-19 after observing the 14-day mandatory self-quarantine upon returning from Inverness, Scotland, where they were filming Demi, which has 26 episodes.
His friend Norimy Aimi told mStar, The Star’s Malay language portal, that Ambia was feverish while he was filming in Scotland.
Ambia’s condition deteriorated upon arriving at KL International Airport on March 31.
“Health Ministry officers, who were at KLIA, immediately took him to Hospital Sungai Buloh, ” Norimi said.
Norimy, however, said that Ambia’s condition was improving.
“His wife told doctors that Ambia is slowly recovering, ” said Norimy.
