Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza is using her voice in a powerful way. The country's No. 1 singer posted a video on Instagram on March 19, pleading with all Malaysians to stay home.

"Like you, I'm also at home during this movement control order. I believe all Malaysians can do this," she begins the video.

"Please do what the government is asking us to in order to keep the coronavirus away from ourselves and our loved ones. I'd like to give you some advice in song."

The 41-year-old singer then sings a refrain from her latest single, 7 Nasihat, but tweaked the lyrics:

"Nasihat ini jangan tak dihirau, duduk rumah janganlah merayau, coronavirus haruslah dirisau, duduk rumah janganlah melilau."

("Don't ignore my advice, stay home and do not loiter, coronavirus needs to be taken seriously, stay home and do not loiter.")

The government issued a movement control order from March 18 to 31. Unfortunately, some Malaysians haven't been taking the order seriously, with many opting to travel back to their hometowns.
