What’s new and what’s cancelled from Fox Network

New Girl gets a new season, but it will be its final one.

Fox is the first of the five national US TV networks to have officially unveiled its schedule for the 2017-2018 season. From September to June, six new series will be added to the schedule which already includes Empire, Gotham and Lethal Weapon.

Three of Fox's new series will be launched in the fall. The Gifted is perhaps the most promising of the bunch because of its Marvel label. Set in the X-Men universe, this drama tells the story of children with mutant abilities who go on the run from a hostile government. Stephen Moyer, who played a vampire in the series True Blood, will have a leading role in the drama.
