Sale of 1991 painting from Ibrahim Hussein breaks Malaysian art auction house record

A new Malaysian art auction house record has been set with the sale of a 1991 painting from Datuk Ibrahim Hussein (1936-2009), who is also known as "Ib".

Ibrahim's Calama Desert sold for RM918,400 at the recent Henry Butcher Malaysian and South-East Asian Art Auction (Aug 23) in Kuala Lumpur.
