Kicking off its fifth anniversary in grand style, Pan Productions is restaging Cabaret, the musical that first catapulted it to fame in 2011. Needless to say, the years have been good to the musical theatre company – with the current restaging, from May 8 to 17 at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac), already sold out.

Cabaret, the Broadway musical staged for the first time in 1966, based on a book written by Christopher Isherwood, with music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. The musical was famously adapted for the screen in 1972 by Bob Fosse, starring Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey who both won Oscars for their roles.
