Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is putting a stylish spin on buka puasa this year with “Selera Urban Sentral” featuring a celebrity collaboration.

The Ramadan showcase at its all‑day dining restaurant, Nook, features actress and personality Amelia Christie, bringing her love for nostalgic flavours into dialogue with the hotel’s playful, modern culinary identity.

Amelia worked closely with Aloft’s culinary team to reinterpret familiar dishes through an urban lens.

The result is a buffet that blends comfort with creativity – think Nasi Kerabu Sushi Roll, Kerabu Soba with Seafood, and Nachos topped with Tempeh Bolognaise and Tomato Sambal.

A live carving station anchors the experience with Kambing Bakar Berempah, which guests can enjoy as is or transformed into a Burrito Kambing Bakar.

Nearby, another station serves Beef Roti John layered with Avocado Salad, adding a fresh, contemporary twist to a Ramadan staple.

Traditionalists will still find plenty to love.

The spread includes rich, aromatic dishes such as Masak Lemak Cili Api Baby Lobster and Briyani Itik Salai, alongside a dessert line‑up that leans indulgent and inventive – Pistachio Kunafa Cheesecake, Kek Batik Matcha, Banana Pudding and more.

To elevate the ambience, violinist Syerot performs live throughout the evening, adding a melodic backdrop to the vibrant dining room.

Chef de cuisine Iskandar Zarrataj said the partnership felt intuitive: “Collaborating with Amelia was a natural choice, as she shares our vision of staying deeply connected to our heritage while in tune with today’s trends.

“Together, we curated the ‘Selera Urban Sentral’ dinner buffet to honour traditional favourites with a twist.”

The buffet runs until March 18, priced at RM158nett per person.
