AS the Year of the Fire Horse approaches, Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown is inviting guests to usher in a season of abundance, reunion and culinary indulgence.

From Feb 1 to 17, Quan’s Kitchen is offering a Chinese New Year buffet that blends timeless flavours with contemporary flair.

Enjoy an enticing spread featuring Marinated Jellyfish Salad, Wok-fried Buttermilk Crab with Deep-fried Mantau, Teo Chew-Style Steamed Fish and Roasted Duck with Egg Crepe.

The celebration continues with Mongolian Roasted Lamb Leg at the carving station, a comforting Yong Tau Fu counter and a DIY Fruity Yee Sang Station, perfect for crafting your own prosperity toss.

Guests who book between now and Jan 31 can enjoy an early bird 35% discount on Chinese New Year buffets.

Quan’s Kitchen has several dining options throughout the festive period.

These include a Chinese New Year Dinner Buffet from Feb 2-17 (except Sundays) priced at RM178nett per person, Reunion Dinner on Feb 16 at RM198nett per person and Chinese New Year Lunch Buffet on Feb 1, 8, 15 and 17 is tagged at RM178nett per person.

For a more leisurely celebration, Lady Yi’s Tea House is presenting a Chinese New Year Afternoon Tea inspired by Chinese and Peranakan flavours.

The tea affair, from 2pm to 6pm, is priced at RM178nett for two persons, or RM105nett for one.

Expect a medley of sweet and savoury bites including Ruby Lychee Crispy – a deep-fried lychee prawn ball with mayonnaise and Itik Sio Croffle – a creative nod to the Peranakan braised duck classic.

For desserts, there are Rose Lychee Macaron, homemade tau fu fa shaped like a rabbit, and pineapple scone reminiscent of pineapple tarts.

The yee sang for takeaway options include the Fruity Prosperity Yee Sang, priced at half for RM108nett, full platter at RM168nett.

This yee sang features a refreshing mix of dragon fruit, grapes and sun melon.

The Soft Shell Crab Prosperity Yee Sang is priced at RM118nett (half portion), RM178nett (full portion).

The Golden Prosperity Yee Sang is RM128nett (half portion) and RM198nett (full serving) with fresh slices of raw salmon.

Available from Feb 1 to 15, all yee sang orders require a 48 hours pre-order.
