Grammy-nominated Hawaiian singer-songwriter Jack Johnson gets some help from musical friends like Ben Harper and White Stripe’s Jack White in this oh-so-charming and wonderful soundtrack to the film Curious George. Some of the songs are really cute, but not too much that they would put you off. Johnson is on top of his mellow alt-rock game, and delivers a collection of laidback songs, very acoustic in spirit, that seem ready made for campfire sessions or just right to wind down a hectic day. Tracks include the first single Upside Down, Jungle Gym (featuring G. Love), With My Own Two Hands (featuring Ben Harper), Supposed to Be, People Watching and We’re Going to Be Friends (written by Jack White).
