Frontken's 3Q net profit rises to RM57.25mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Frontken Corp Bhd is expecting activity in the semiconductor sector to remain strong due to long-term structural demand, driven by AI, high-performance computing, automotive electronics and advanced manufacturing.

"The group is enhancing its operational capabilities and undertaking selective capacity expansion to capture emerging growth opportunities.

"By strengthening collaboration across the supply chain and deepening customer relationships, the group is well positioned to participate in the sector’s longer-term growth," it said in a results filing with Bursa Malaysia.

In the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2026, Frontken recorded a net profit of RM57.25mil, up from RM45.83mil in the year-ago quarter. Quarterly revenue rose to RM181.04mil from RM161.87mil in the previous corresponding quarter.

The group's nine-month net profit was RM147.33mil against RM110.39mil in the same period in 2025, while revenue rose to RM557.76mil from RM450.86mil previously.

In its results review, the group reiterated its positive outlook for the semiconductor sector, although it said it remains attentive to evolving supply-demand dynamics.

Meanwhile, the group is also cautiously optimistic over the oil and gas segment for the remainder of 2026. "Industry activity remains supported by continued requirements for asset reliability, maintenance and operational efficiency, creating opportunities for specialised service providers," it said.
