KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Bhd said its full-year guidance remains on track as it turned in a higher net profit of RM447mil in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2026, as compared to RM412mil in the year-ago quarter.

Quarterly revenue rose to RM2.68bil from RM2.59bil in the same quarter in 2025.

Over the nine-month period, the telco said net profit rose to RM1.3bil from RM1.18bil in the year-ago quarter while revenue climbed to RM8.07bil from RM7.76bil previously.

In line with the performance, the board of directors declared an interim dividend of 4.5 sen per share, with ex-date on Nov 27, 2026, and payable on Dec 22, 2026.

"Our third-quarter performance reflects the strength of our operating model and converged strategy. Disciplined execution continues to drive healthy cash generation," said CEO Goh Seow Eng in a statement.

In the quarter under review, service revenue in the consumer mobile segment grew 1.4% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM1.59bil, supported by gains in postpaid revenue. Total mobile subscribers dropped 2.8% y-o-y to 9.59 million following adjustments tied to new prepaid registration guidelines.

The consumer home segment saw service revenue rose 0.8% y-o-y to RM257mil, alongside margin expansion driven by Maxis’ own-built fibre footprint. Total home connections increased 3.6% y-o-y to 816,000, bolstered by strong demand for converged offerings.

Meanwhile, service revenue in enterprise business edged 0.2% higher y-o-y to RM419mil. According to Maxis, solutions remained a primary growth catalyst, powered by robust demand for

expansion.

It said the segment also deepened traction in Internet of Things (IoT) deployments, particularly in smart metering and connected vehicles.
