MR DIY expands home appliance range

KUALA LUMPUR: MR D.I.Y. Group (M) Bhd has expanded its home appliance range with 13 new products and reduced prices on selected existing items.

In a statement, the home improvement retailer said the new products cover kitchen, cleaning and personal care categories, including electric kettles, rice cookers, slow cookers, steam irons, hair dryers and vacuum cleaners.

MR D.I.Y. said it had also reduced prices on selected electric kettles, rice cookers, hair dryers and other appliances.

The group has sold more than 900,000 home appliances over the past two years.

MR D.I.Y. senior vice-president of marketing Alex Goh said the expansion was aimed at providing customers with a wider selection of appliances at different price points.

“More than 20 years of serving Malaysian households has given us a strong understanding of what customers need from everyday appliances. They want reliable products with the features that matter at prices within reach,” he said.

Goh said the new range and price reductions would give customers more options based on their needs and budgets.

MR D.I.Y. said all the appliances are SIRIM-certified and come with a one-year warranty.

The group operates more than 1,500 stores across its MR D.I.Y., MR DOLLAR and MR TOY brands in Malaysia. It also operates KKV and Colorist outlets and is the Malaysian master franchisee for the EMTOP brand.
