PETALING JAYA: Zico Trust (M) Bhd has appointed Datuk Mazlan Ahmad as its non-executive independent director, effective Sept 23, 2026.
In a statement, Zico said Mazlan brings extensive experience spanning corporate leadership, professional governance, institutional advisory roles and academia.
“He is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), a chartered secretary with the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (Maicsa), and a Chartered Governance Professional with the Chartered Governance Institute.
“He currently serves as an exco Council Member of both MIA and Maicsa, with much of his work focused on public integrity.
“His advisory and review roles span key Malaysian institutions, including the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission and Malaysia Productivity Corporation, as well as the Special Taskforce for the Corruption Perception Index.”
Zico said his appointment forms part of its continued focus on strengthening board stewardship, governance and institutional oversight as the company continues to develop its trust and fiduciary services.
