Superlon appoints Jeremy Liu as CEO

PETALING JAYA: Superlon Holdings Bhd has appointed Jeremy Liu as its chief executive officer with immediate effect.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the rubber insulation manufacturer said Liu (40) has worked in the group since February 2010 as assistant research and development manager.

He succeeds his mother, Jessica Hsiu-Lin Liu, who has stepped down due to internal re-organisation.

Separately, Superlon announced that its net profit for the first quarter ended July 31, 2026 rose to RM5.48mil from RM3.08mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue in the first quarter grew to RM39.23mil from RM33.29mil a year earlier.

Superlon said gross profit margin improved from 25.8% to 34.2% year-on-year, mainly attributable to higher product mix contribution from the manufacturing division relative to the trading division, as well as the group’s margin enhancement initiatives and improved production efficiency.

Going forward, the company said the international operating environment is expected to moderate, with global trade facing headwinds.

“Going forward, demand will be influenced by geopolitical tensions, logistics costs as well as raw material costs.”
