KUALA LUMPUR: S P Setia Bhd has launched the 100-acre Setia Fontaines Heritage Park at its Setia Fontaines township in Kepala Batas, Penang.
In a statement, the property developer said the park forms part of the wider Setia Fontaines development, which also features a 63-acre man-made lake and musical fountain.
S P Setia president and chief executive officer Datuk Zaini Yusoff said the park was part of the group’s plans to incorporate public and recreational spaces within the township.
“Through thoughtful placemaking, green public spaces and community-led experiences, we are shaping Setia Fontaines into an integrated township that contributes to Penang’s growth while creating long-term value for residents, visitors and the wider community,” he said.
He added that the Heritage Park is envisioned as more than a township amenity, but as a new lifestyle and recreational attraction with the potential to support visitation, public engagement and destination appeal for Seberang Perai Utara and the wider northern region.
The launch was followed by the Jom Mai Setia Fontaines Carnival, which featured Malaysia Day programmes, cultural and entertainment performances and other activities.
Setia Fontaines is an integrated township in Kepala Batas comprising residential, commercial and recreational components, as well as planned employment areas.
