said a set of data files, allegedly including personal data, was extracted following an unauthorised attempt to access its information technology infrastructure.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the pharmaceutical company said its internal cyber-defence systems detected the incident and immediately activated containment protocols.
It said its core corporate network and internal operational systems remained secure and functional, with no disruption to its business operations.
Duopharma has initiated a comprehensive incident-response review and will work with internal and external cybersecurity specialists, where applicable, to conduct a digital forensic investigation.
"The investigation will determine the precise scope of the affected files," it said.
The company also said it will also review its cybersecurity environment and introduce additional safeguards if necessary.
Based on currently available information, Duopharma said it believes the incident has no financial implications.
It will notify the Personal Data Protection Commissioner within the prescribed period over the alleged extraction of personal data and make further announcements if material developments arise.
