Maybank launches Savings+ money market investment feature on MAE

KUALA LUMPUR: Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has launched Savings+, a money market investment feature on its MAE app that allows customers to invest from as little as RM10.

In a statement, the bank said Savings+ provides access to a Shariah-compliant money market fund managed by Maybank Asset Management Sdn Bhd.

The fund invests in relatively short-term and liquid assets and offers potential returns of up to 3.32% per annum as at June 30, 2026. Returns are not guaranteed and may vary depending on market conditions and fund performance. Returns are calculated daily and credited monthly.

Maybank said customers can complete the onboarding process, invest, monitor investment performance and set up automatic monthly investments through the MAE app.

There is no lock-in period, while investments and withdrawals are processed within an average of two business days.

“With Savings+, customers can start their investment journey from just RM10 and manage their money seamlessly within the MAE app they already use daily.

“This reflects our commitment to humanising financial services by making wealth-building more accessible, convenient and relevant to every Malaysian.”

Savings+ joins other investment products available on MAE, including the Maybank Islamic Gold Account-i, Maybank Goal-Based Investment and ASNB Investment.
