KUALA LUMPUR: FGV Holdings Bhd
has appointed Nurul Muhaniza Hanafi as group managing director (MD) with immediate effect, making her the first woman to lead the company.
In a statement yesterday, the company said Nurul Muhaniza, who has chaired the board executive committee since March, has assumed the functions and responsibilities of the group chief executive officer, providing executive leadership and overseeing FGV’s operations, strategic priorities, and key transformation initiatives.
Appointed to the FGV board on April 1, 2024, as an independent non-executive director, Nurul Muhaniza served as chairman of the board governance and risk management committee, and is a member of the board nomination and remuneration committee and board audit committee.
