ITMAX secures RM134.3mil Kota Kinabalu digital connectivity project


PETALING JAYA: ITMax System Bhd has received approval from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to provide communications infrastructure and digital connectivity services for the Kota Kinabalu Smart City Project.

The project, worth RM134.3mil, involves an implementation period of up to 24 months, followed by five years of operations. The total service period commenced on Aug 6, 2026,” it said in a Bursa Malaysia filing.

“ITMAX is responsible for the design, supply, installation, integration, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the Network Operation Command Centre and Smart Systems, which will be deployed across Kota Kinabalu city.”

ITMAX added that the notification of approval is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the company over the period until the expiry of the total service period.

“The risks associated with the notification of approval are normal operational risks.

“Save for the aforesaid, the board is unaware of any significant risks arising from the notification of approval which could materially or adversely affect the financial of ITMAX Group.”
