Swift Energy bags RM17mil worth of jobs


PETALING JAYA: Swift Energy Technology Bhd has secured multiple purchase orders worth a combined RM17.03mil for the supply of electrical and navigational systems to energy and data centre projects in Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar.

The contracts were awarded to the group’s subsidiaries by customers including PT Meindo Elang Indah, Zhuhai Jutal Offshore Oil Services Ltd, Cummins Sales and Service Sdn Bhd, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd and Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd.

The orders cover the supply of equipment such as explosion-proof navigation aids, solar power systems, current distribution boards, neutral earthing resistors, obstruction lighting systems and cast resin transformers for projects involving Petroliam Nasional Bhd, PTT Exploration and Production Pcl and a Malaysian data centre.

Most contracts are scheduled for delivery by the first quarter of financial year 2027, while the transformer supply project will be completed over the next three years. SET said the contracts are expected to contribute positively to earnings and net assets for the financial years ending Sept 30, 2026, 2027 and 2028.
