HSS Engineers wins RM34mil NPWSS project


KUALA LUMPUR: HSS Engineers Bhd’s associate, SMHB Sdn Bhd, has been appointed the lead design consultancy (LDC) and detailed designs consultancy four services package for the Northern Perak Water Supply Scheme (NPWSS) and sale of excess treated water to Penang by Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the works for the contract, valued at RM34.01mil, commenced in June 2026, and is estimated to be completed 66 months from the commencement date.

“SMHB’s scope of services under the services comprises LDC for NPWSS and DDC for the water treatment plant in NPWSS which include preliminary, pre-final and final design, tender stage support and support during the construction and defects liability period for the project,” it said.
