“The company further wishes to clarify that no director, officer, employee, or representative of the group has been arrested nor charged with any offence arising from the matter,” Padini said.

SHAH ALAM: Padini Holdings Bhd says all bank accounts previously frozen by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have been unfrozen.

In a statement, the fashion retailer said the MACC had lifted the freeze on all affected bank accounts belonging to the company and its subsidiaries.

“The company further wishes to clarify that no director, officer, employee, or representative of the group has been arrested nor charged with any offence arising from the matter,” Padini said.

It added that neither the company nor any of its subsidiaries has been made the subject of any forfeiture proceedings.

Padini reiterated that it has maintained from the outset that neither it nor any member of the group was involved in any wrongdoing or improper conduct.
