Liftech Group wins RM25mil material handling system contract

PETALING JAYA: Liftech Group Bhd has secured a RM25mil contract to provide a material handling system for an aerospace-related test cell facility in Sepang, Selangor.

In a statement, the industrial lifting and handling equipment specialist said the contract was awarded by AME Construction Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Main Market-listed AME Elite Consortium Bhd, to Liftech Engineering (KL) Sdn Bhd, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liftech Group.

“Under the contract, Liftech Engineering will undertake the design, supply, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of a material handling system for the main building works of the aerospace test cell facility (Phase 1) in Sepang, Selangor.

“The project encompasses the design and supply of bridge cranes with runway rail tracks, dual hoist carriers, auto-grab systems, trolley hoists, monorail systems, bus bars and electrical components, as well as installation, testing and commissioning works.”

Liftech Group said the project will be completed in phases, with Phase 1 scheduled for completion by Jan 18, 2027, followed by Phase 2 on March 15, 2027.

Managing director Bernard Ng said the contract award reflects Liftech’s growing capabilities in delivering specialised lifting and material handling solutions for technologically advanced industries.

"Securing this contract marks another significant milestone for Liftech as we continue to expand our presence in the aerospace sector.

“Aerospace facilities demand highly engineered material handling systems that meet stringent operational, precision and safety requirements, and this award reflects the confidence placed in our engineering capabilities and proven track record," he said.

Ng said the contract aligns with Liftech’s strategy of expanding its presence in high-growth industries supported by increasing investments in advanced manufacturing.
