WCT bags RM529mil Abu Dhabi job


PETALING JAYA: PETALING JAYA: WCT Holdings Bhd has secured a contract from United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based Construction General Contracting House Ltd (CGCH) to undertake a commercial and residential building project in Abu Dhabi worth RM528.99mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, WCT said the project is owned and developed by Aldar Development LLC - O.P.C.

“The scope of the sub-contract works includes all non-foundational structural works, architectural works, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, and external works for the project.

“Foundational works, including piling, excavation, etc., will be executed by others.”

WCT said the sub-contract works are expected to commence in the third quarter of 2026 and to be completed within 972 days from the commencement thereof.

Following the acceptance of the sub-contract, WCT said the parties to the contract shall as soon as reasonably practicable thereafter, either directly or through their respective wholly owned subsidiaries, incorporate an incorporated joint Venture company (on a 50:50 basis), to enter into the formal sub-contract with CGCH, to undertake and execute the sub-Contract works.
