Pharmaniaga said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the company’s future earnings.

PETALING JAYA: Pharmaniaga Bhd has secured a contract to supply medical products to the Malaysian government, worth RM281.67mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Pharmaniaga said the government had accepted a tender offer from wholly-owned subsidiary Pharmaniaga Lifescience Sdn Bhd (PLS) to supply the products under the Health Ministry’s (MoH) procurement by way of tender.

It said the duration of the contract shall be from June 3, 2026 until June 2, 2029.

“The contract is in the ordinary course of business of the Pharmaniaga group of companies and will enable PLS to provide distribution services for the supply of the products to MoH.

“With the growing numbers of diabetic patients in Malaysia, PLS hopes to improve diabetes management in the country by providing high quality and cost-effective biosimilar insulins.”

Pharmaniaga said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the company’s future earnings until the expiry date of the contract.
