WCT lands RM153mil building job


PETALING JAYA: WCT Holdings Bhd, via its Taiwan-based wholly-owned subsidiary, has been awarded a contract by WU En De Construction Co Ltd to undertake and execute construction works between the Gaoke Interchange and Gangshan Interchange in Taiwan, worth RM152.68mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the contract is for a project known as the “National Highway No. 1 – Addition of Gangshan Second Interchange Project (Lot I108R).”

“The works under the contract, which involve road works, bridge structural works and drainage works for the project, are expected to be completed within 42 months from Aug 1, 2026, the commencement date of the contract.

“None of the directors or major shareholders of the company or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the award of the contract,” it said.
