Wasco Greenergy reports softer 1Q

PETALING JAYA: Wasco Greenergy Bhd expects its strong RM244.7mil order book to continue supporting positive earnings momentum in the coming quarters, despite softer first-quarter (1Q26) results.

In its quarterly filing to Bursa Malaysia, the group said the order book comprises RM220.7mil from its renewable energy segment and RM24mil from its industrial energy and equipment segment.

For 1Q26 ended March 31, Wasco Greenergy posted revenue of RM54.4mil, down from RM61.4mil a year ago, mainly due to weaker contributions from its RE business. Pretax profit fell to RM4.9mil from RM6.3mil previously.
