SMEs to gain from RHB and SJPP tie-up


PETALING JAYA: RHB Bank Bhd has entered into a strategic partnership with Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Bhd (SJPP) to facilitate up to RM1bil in financing for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and mid-tier companies.

The partnership represents a dedicated financing allocation earmarked for RHB under SJPP-administered government guarantee programmes.

SJPP is a wholly-owned company of the Ministry of Finance (Inc).

In a release, RHB highlighted that this partnership with SJPP aims to broaden SME access to financing by lowering barriers to funding and supporting a wider range of businesses.

In addition, eligible SMEs will be able to benefit from restructuring, rescheduling and repayment assistance amid rising costs and a more challenging operating environment.

The collaboration supports national efforts to assist businesses affected by the ongoing West Asia conflict.

RHB is a participating financial institution under Bank Negara Malaysia’s SME Stabilisation Relief Facility.
