KUALA LUMPUR: MBSB Bank Bhd and MBSB Investment Bank Bhd (MBSB IB) have formalised a RM1.025 billion financing facility with Ekovest Holdings Sdn Bhd.

In a statement today, the bank said that under the transaction, MBSB Bank acts as the financier, while MBSB IB serves as the mandated lead arranger, facility agent and security agent.

"This transaction builds on the longstanding relationship between MBSB Group and Ekovest Group, following MBSB IB’s role in the establishment of Ekovest’s sukuk programme of up to RM1.3 billion in nominal value in 2021,” it said.

MBSB group chief executive officer Rafe Haneef said capital raising played a critical role in enabling businesses to pursue growth, unlock value and execute long-term strategic priorities.

"This transaction reflects our commitment to helping clients access capital and position their businesses for the next phase of growth,” he said. - Bernama
