PetGas inks long-term deal with LMT


PetGas noted that LMT is the port operator of Lumut Maritime Terminal 2.

PETALING JAYA: Petronas Gas Bhd (PetGas) has inked a long-term jetty usage agreement with Lumut Maritime Terminal Sdn Bhd (LMT), for its proposed third regasification terminal (RGT-3) in Lumut, Perak.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, PetGas noted that LMT is the port operator of Lumut Maritime Terminal 2.

It added the RGT-3 will be developed based on floating storage and regasification unit concept, with the regasified liquefied natural gas (LNG) transported via a connecting pipeline from RGT-3 onshore and berthing facilities to the Peninsular Gas Utilisation system.

RGT-3 is designed with LNG storage capacity of 170,000 m3 and regasification send-out capacity of 500 MMscfd (million standard cubic feet a day).
