PETALING JAYA: The Asia ESG Summit 2026 places a sharp focus on helping industry leaders move beyond sustainability pledges towards delivering measurable outcomes.

Themed “Driving Action to Measurable Impact”, the summit, set to take place on July 21 and 22 in Kuala Lumpur, will feature three concurrent forums – ESG Governance and Data Assurance, Circular Economy, and Green Climate and Energy – spotlighting the key priorities shaping today’s sustainability landscape.

Through plenary sessions, high-impact panels and curated networking, the summit tackles the practical mechanics of transforming environmental, social, and governance (ESG) pledges into tangible, verifiable impact.

As part of the Green Climate and Energy forum, Climate Governance Malaysia council member Wong Seng Kee will share his insights on “Carbon Capture and Storage (CCUS): A Critical Pillar for Hard-to-Abate Industries”.

Wong serves as an advisor to Carbon GPT, an artificial intelligence-powered carbon accounting platform.

With extensive experience in the energy and sustainability sector, he will draw on his expertise to explore how carbon capture technologies can help heavy industries reduce emissions in areas where direct electrification or renewable substitution is challenging.

In the Circular Economy forum, the panel titled “Industrial Symbiosis: Turning One Industry’s Waste into Another’s Raw Material” will feature MM Century Sdn Bhd marketing manager Jayasilen Sivapragasam.

With his experience leading the company’s operations in converting industrial by-products into recoverable materials for downstream industries, Jayasilen is well-positioned to contribute to the discussion.

The panellists will explore ways companies can reduce costs and emissions by repurposing one industry’s waste as another’s input, creating more resource-efficient industrial networks.
